Earthdog

Earthdog is a really fun sport that most dogs will be enthusiastic about.

Take a dog, add one tunnel with turns, add one caged rat: shake well and you have EARTHDOG!

Earthdog is designed to allow your dog's hidden instincts to surface and flourish. It's not something you train them for, it's something you guide them into. Most dogs have instincts they are unaware of but once they get the idea, they love it!

Originally created as a sport for Terriers and Dachshunds, many dogs find digging and crawling through a tunnel to be irresistible. For small dogs, the tunnel is 9" x 9" x 30' with 3 90 degree turns. For larger dogs the height and width is 11" or larger. The object of the game is for the dog to enter the tunnel and go all the way to the end (within 30 seconds) where rats will be waiting in a dog-proof enclosure. The dog must then "work" its quarry by barking, scratching, crying and generally carrying on for 60 seconds.
